IAN GRANT

Ian believes in the importance of personal growth and continuous improvement, always striving to become the best version of himself. Never content with maintaining the status quo, he made the decision in February 2022 to discontinue daycare and boarding services to focus solely on dog training. In January 2024, Ian closed his facility to dedicate himself full-time to in-home training and delivering the best virtual dog training program possible. With 17 years of experience surrounded by dogs, Ian has developed a deep understanding of how they interact, communicate, and establish patterns.

Ian established Vermont Dog Boarding & Behavior in 2007, initially operating from his home where he had a fenced yard and a 500 square foot basement dedicated to dogs. His aim was to provide a controlled environment where dogs could receive daycare and boarding services. As his business grew, he moved to a new location in 2013, which offered a larger space of 2,000 square feet. In 2017, he expanded further by renting an additional 1,000 square feet of space.

As Ian continues to evolve, he has had the opportunity to work for Cesar Milan at his Dog Psychology Center during his "Training Cesar's Way" workshops. This experience has allowed him to learn from one of the greats and network with like-minded trainers, and has been truly amazing for his professional growth.

Prior to his career in dog training, Ian spent 8 years as a professional golfer. Outside of work, he enjoys coaching baseball, basketball, playing golf, and is a devoted fan of the Boston Celtics. He shares his home with his wife, 2 kids, and three beloved dogs: Jemma, May, and Fitz.
